The hotel is literally a 30 second walk to the beach, and if you have the "junior room" you can even see Cozumel from the bed. The hotel is severely "worn". Cracked tiles everywhere, plywood blocking roof access (no pool available), 4 flight walkup, no elevators. It's in the heart of Calle Norte, close to all the shops and restaurants, but the towels provided are a step above newspaper in terms of drying ability. The room had a malfunctioning TV, but good AC, fluctuating water pressure, but at least it did get hot on occasion. This is perfect for someone on a budget, but don't expect more than the absolute basics. Teens on spring break, or just wanting a cheap "on the beach" hotel, is what you're getting. At $60/night can't be much more picky. The downstairs tattoo salon does have a few hookers that will proposition you for "fiestas".
