The Venetian Las Vegas is a popular hotel and casino that offers shops, shows, and additional attractions all set within architectural replicas of some of Venice's greatest monuments. The Venetian has quite a few stunning attractions, but one of the most popular is the Grand Canal Shoppes. This upscale shopping centre makes you feel as if you're in Venice, with a canal and white gondolas that will take you to the different stores. You'll find over 200 services and stores amongst 3 floors within the area.

The Venetian's nightlife is state of the art with several clubs, lounges, and bars to visit. The TAO Nightclub is the most popular, as it offers a unique Asian-inspired theme complete with a 20-foot-tall Buddha statue serving as a nice departure from the Italian themes found throughout most of the resort. Within this nightclub, you'll find an infinity-edge pool populated by koi along with 3 private skyboxes. Be sure to head to the top of the nightclub to visit TAO Beach, a pool area with 7 cabanas.

The Venetian Las Vegas history

The Venetian was born from Sheldon Adelson's dream of creating the largest resort on the Las Vegas Strip. In 1999, that dream was realised as The Venetian was opened accompanied by white doves, trumpets, and singing gondoliers. It cost upward of $1.5 billion to build, which made it one of the most expensive resorts ever when it opened.

As time went on, the resort continued to expand, unsatisfied with merely being the biggest on the Strip. In 2003, it added the famous Venezia Tower, which houses more than 1,000 additional rooms. With the passing of time came more and more attractions, including the Cantor Race & Sports Book, which opened in 2011, and the Carnevale festival, which began in 2012.

If you want to get the most out of your gaming experience at The Venetian, there are a few factors to keep in mind. If you're feeling a bit rusty, The Venetian offers complimentary gaming lessons every day covering craps, blackjack, roulette, and poker. Additionally, you should know that table minimums will vary based on the demands of the business. For the most part, the minimum is $10 during the week and $15 on weekends.

This casino and hotel are remarkably accommodating, so you'll find quite a few luxury services available. Just remember that many of the services come with an extra fee. Gondola rides, for example, require additional tickets. You'll also need to pay an additional fee to gain access to the faster Wi-Fi at the casino.
