High-altitude city Albuquerque has, in recent years, elbowed its way into international consciousness thanks to the huge success of TV’s Breaking Bad. You can take tours of the city with a Breaking Bad theme, but the city has so much more than that to offer.
Albuquerque honours the region’s Native American people with the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, which includes a museum that tells their story, as well as regular stages dances and craft displays. The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science features an excellent dinosaur exhibit, with a life-sized Tyrannosaurus Rex taking pride of place in the atrium.
