What you need to know before you go

Orange County, CA, is a region famed for iconic and historic amusement parks, surf beaches, vibrant arts and cultural communities and state parks with plenty of hiking and adventure. Perhaps the most iconic spot in Orange County is Disneyland in Anaheim. This vast complex offers themed rides, shops and restaurants. It also features attractions based on some of the most famous entertainment, from Star Wars to Pirates of the Caribbean to the  Avengers and beyond. Plus, it has full resort amenities. In nearby Buena Park, visitors can find a smaller but still iconic theme park in Knott’s Berry Farm, which provides a traditional amusement park experience.

Surf beaches can be found across the region, with Huntington Beach, Newport Beach and Laguna Beach being among the most notable. Huntington Beach, in particular, is associated with surf culture and hosts a Surfing Museum. Newport Beach offers the chance to walk a seaside harbour opposite Balboa Peninsula. At Laguna Beach, visitors can enjoy tide pools and walk the Crystal Cove State Park’s oceanfront trails.
