The Shops at Jax Brewery

The Shops at Jax Brewery is a popular local shopping centre that was set up in a converted brewery and features famous and local stores. In addition to the shops, you'll also find a museum detailing the history of the brewery itself.

Despite the name, everyone can have fun at this shopping centre, including kids. You'll find shops with items that kids are sure to enjoy, along with a few eateries and stunning views from the patio. Most people spend about 2 or 3 hours here, but your trip can easily turn into an excursion that lasts all afternoon.

The Shops at Jax Brewery highlights

One of the best aspects of The Shops at Jax Brewery is the diversity of its stores. You'll find a satisfying mix of local shops and national retailers, though it's important to note that the vast majority of the shops here are clothing stores.

The building itself has much to offer to augment your shopping experience. It dates back to the late 19th century, and you can see the clear German inspiration in its design. Additionally, it's located right along the Mississippi River, and you can take in spectacular views of the water from the building's balcony.

Good to know when visiting The Shops at Jax Brewery

Before you visit The Shops at Jax Brewery, there are a few things to keep in mind. If you're driving yourself, you will have to pay for parking. Fortunately, it's relatively affordable, and the car park is conveniently located right next to the shops. Overflow parking is available in adjacent lots when the main one is full.

This shopping centre is located in the French Quarter, so you'll be close to some of the best attractions in town. Woldenberg Park is well within walking distance, and the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas is just a short distance to the south.
