White Cedar Swamp, Wellfleet offers a well-established path through sand and woodlands, as well as raised wooden decking through a swamp. It also provides a glimpse of history, as you’ll be close to the site of the first two-way public wireless communication in 1903.
The 2 km trail begins at Marconi Station Area and descends through a pine and oak forest. If you’d like a longer trek, continue on Old Wireless Road and turn towards Lecount Hollow Beach, where you can relax and watch the ocean. Mount Greylock State Reservation, Lanesborough is a public space dedicated to recreation and the protection of nature close to Massachusetts’ highest summit.
