HistoryMiami Museum takes visitors on a fascinating journey of South Florida with exciting exhibitions and experiences. Situated in the Miami-Dade Cultural Plaza in city centre Miami, the 70,000 square foot facility is a Smithsonian affiliate and the largest museum of history in Florida. It features four galleries, Archives and Research Centre, and a city tours programme.

The museum, which began as the Historical Museum of Southern Florida in 1940, offers much to see, from silver and gold recovered from centuries-old shipwrecks to Pan American World Airways artefacts. At its Centre for Photography, there are vivid images that capture the heart of the community.

The HistoryMiami Museum is a popular place to go for families from near and far. History buffs enjoy spending time here too. There are self-guided tours and weekend docent-led guided tours for small groups for a more immersive experience. However, for visitors who want to learn even more, the museum has a City Tours programme including walking, bike, boat, and coach focusing on Miami and South Florida.
