The property is relatively newly built. The pool is out in the open on the 3rd floor and I was traveling with 2 small children, this was not convenient. I left the AC on due to the heat of the day, went out and about and when I returned it was turned off despite my things still in the room but I had already paid my stay... so yeah a little annoyed. The facility is/was VERY clean when I stayed BUT it was smelly. When the AC was on, there was a faint smell of sewer. The CS was friendly, the young gentleman at least - again when I stayed. Breakfast was mehh... fruit, coffee, milk, juice, granola bar. Room had no fridge or coffee maker and we couldn't find ice in all of Bacalar. The hotel was quiet, tv was small maybe 25". Our window faced a white wall. The hotel is right at about the entrance of Bacalar, not hard to find. I think in the future more buildings will surround it. Parking was accessible and not an issue during our stay. The staff communicated, they sent us a message asking if we wanted the room cleaned- that was a good way to remind me I needed clean towels. Overall for the price it was ok but I have stayed at better for the same so its hard to say if its good or bad. Maybe considering the location and price of the other local hotels it's "good". I wouldn't mark this as my "stay here again" but for affordability I probably would. If you are the person that uses hotels just to sleep the night then this is a good option.
