Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park is a small zoo in Cannon Hill Park that houses small mammals from marmosets to squirrel monkeys to otters and others. This family-friendly zoo has been described as a gem of Birmingham. Some of the species on display here are endangered in the wild, and the zoo has a mission to preserve and conserve such species.

Over the years, the park has been involved in many scientific, breeding and conservation efforts. Among these include breeding programmes involving the park's red pandas, which have been loaned to other programs to help preserve the species.
