Monaco

The principality of Monaco is famed as a place where the rich and famous gather for a luxurious holiday on the French Riviera. Despite being the 2nd smallest nation in the world, there are plenty of casinos, designer shopping malls, opulent beach clubs, and world-famous resorts dotted all over this city state.  

Monaco also has a rich history. Check out medieval landmarks like Monaco-Ville, Palais Princier, and Monaco Cathedral, along with museums such as the Oceanographic Museum and Aquarium. You can enjoy warm climate for most of the year, though the best time to visit Monaco is in early autumn, when the summer crowds have dissipated and hotel rates are lower.
