Great Staff. Lovely Property.
I feel robbed .... I booked at this hotel because of the size and different dining options. When we arrived at the gate we were told the property was closed so they decided to send us to another of their associate hotels which was one next door to them , margaritaville island resort . We weren’t told before arriving that the property was closed or that we could choose where to stay , they robbed us of that option. There was no one to talk to . The margaritaville was nice but small with only 4 dining options, never opened at the same time. So you were only left with one option for breakfast ,lunch or dinner. Besides having closed restaurants , their menus was very very limited . There’s nothing around their to do , NOTHING. The worst experience ever.
We enjoyed our stay here at AZUL Beach. The pools were cold but nice. The beach was small but clean and seaweed free. The food was great. We paid extra for the Surf and Turf on the Beach on Sunday night... but the ambiance was ruined when our reservation was lost and a kids bonfire started 15 feet away on the beach with shouting and games. Over all very nice and would stay again.
Servicio del personal de limpieza y restaurantes muy bien,el hotel es bonito , las habitaciones excelentes, atención especial de uno de los gerentes del hotel de nombre Gerry, muy buena atención, pero las comidas en los restaurantes muy limitadas y de muy mala calidad, el agua del grifo tenía mal olor y teníamos que pedir agua en exceso para beber y cepillarnos los dientes, una persona de nombre Claudia nos quería cobrar adicional por el agua siendo un Resort todo incluido, el agua de las albercas estaba fría y como la playa de este hotel no es muy buena pues tiene mucho piedra o arrecifes y te lastima , yo sugiero un sistema de calefacción de agua para las albercas por lo menos en esta temporada de frío! Service of the cleaning staff and restaurants very well, the hotel is nice, the rooms excellent, special attention of one of the managers of the hotel named Gerry, very good attention, but the meals in the restaurants very limited and of very poor quality, the tap water had a bad smell and we had to ask for more water to drink and brush our teeth, a person named Claudia wanted to charge us extra for the water being an all-inclusive Resort, the pool water was cold and like the beach This hotel is not very good because it has a lot of stone or reefs and it hurts you, I suggest a water heating system for the pools at least in this cold season!
The staff was amazing. Very attentive and always will to help. The whole hotel smells like sulfur/eggs. Our room was roomy but the ceiling leaked in our bathroom when it rained it poured in one night. When we called the front desk the asked if we needed more towels. So we dealt with it. Food was really good just disappointed about how ran down the rooms and building were. When it rained one night the roof was leaking. Definitely not a 4 star resort, but it could be with some small renovations. Staff is amazing though. Miguel was amazing
I like everything but I don’t like the beach on the ocean it was dirty
The hotel property is clean (the staff do an excellent job), and the food is good, but the kelp that is strangling the beach is overwhelming. Mounds upon mounds of it, stretching along the coastline. The smell is nearly too much to handle, and you are not able to actually get in the ocean. I love the beaches and ocean around the Cancun area, so not having access to them was a big disappointment. Even though the issue is caused by an act of nature, I think the resort should have discounted the stay for guest since the problem has apparently existed for a long period. Which brings me to my last point; the hotel is overpriced.
Mega resort, family oriented. Beach small. Many pools
This hotel was perfect for a relaxing family getaway. They made traveling with an infant easy.
I travelled here with my husband and ten month old. We had a great time. The hotel room was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The playhouse and splash pool we're fun for my child. There were plenty of great food options including canned baby food for my child. There was always someplace to sit on the beach. The beach beds were a relaxing place for the baby to nap. Some disadvantages were that sometimes a restaurant would shut down for a special event and that people would leave their belongings on the beach beds when they were not using them.
