My friend and I (2 women) stayed one night and felt safe and looked after by staff. Our room was large and clean. We felt we were among locals and not in a tourist enclave. The best part was being able to walk to the airport for our morning departure flight with no worries about being there on time due to traffic.
The stay at Wyndham started off bumpy, but Orlando saved the day. First room- the a/c sounded like a high powered vacuum. So Orlando was able to change my room. The rest of the stay was excellent. Staff is helpful. Best mojito in Cartagena is made on the 13th floor. Reasonable menu too. Uber from the Wyndham to any point of interest is most $3-$4 the most. Glad we selected this hotel.
Stay about 3 nights! Very nice neighborhood. The attention of the front staff was great. The place was nice and enjoyed my stayed. No hot water. Breakfast available for about $3 dollars per day. The attention and service provided by the front clerks and cleaning ladies were amazing! They are very attentive and very helpful. The beach or (Malecón) is about 3 blocks. There are plenty of restaurants and bodegas to buy food from.
It was very comfortable. Although I had to take a room in the second floor and with multiple beds. I reserved for only one bed. That was very uncomfortable. That is good for groups but not for me that I was traveling alone.
No hot water and the WiFi was out the first 2 days of my stay but after the WiFi was rectified everything else was satisfactory I guess and the rooms served it's purpose minus a refrigerator not being present.
We could not have been happier with Casa Claver Hotel. The hotel is a small beautiful boutique hotel located in the walled city. The hotel is so pretty. We stayed in a large suite with 2 bedrooms plus a loft. Our room had a washer/dryer and full kitchen (which added to the convenience). We were served a delicious breakfast every morning in our room. It's a cozy hotel at the heart of the historic center, making it convenient and walkable for us, and it's absolutely gorgeous. The interior is a combination of both traditional and new, and the staff members are great! Kathleen was kind, informative and very helpful with everything. Breakfast is also good! Very satisfied with this booking.
