"Sophia Hotel was the ideal stay in Cartagena. Conveniently located to several restaurants, museums, and the dock for travel to the islands around Cartagena. The staff were helpful and polite, and I felt comfortable staying alone and walking alone in the area, even at night. "
"Nice, very well located hotel. Didn’t need uber or taxi to get anywhere as most everything I wanted to see/do was within walking distance. The rooms were clean and the pool in the courtyard was very nice to have access to as well. The breakfast included is also great, much better than most hotel breakfasts I’ve had. Would definitely stay here again if I come back to Cartagena!"
"The very best was how attentive the reception staff always were. Angela and the ither girl, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was simply but delicious and varied. The hotel’s location is fantastic; rooftops everywhere, restaurants, plazas, pharmacies, and shops, are all within easy reach. Love Cartagena😍😍😍. I would definitely stay there again.

"Staff were amazing, rooms were beautiful. And the rooftop with pool was such a nice space. Food was good, if not excellent (with the exception of the ceviche, which was excellent!) "
"Moet Cartagena Boutique is a unique experience. Elegant, quiet and very clean, both in the rooms and in the rest of the facilities. The staff is very attentive to guests' requests, especially Hector, who offers very good guidance regarding interesting places to visit, where to dine and about the history of the city. We are very grateful to everyone, and we will definitely return to Moet Cartagena Boutique."
"I loved this hotel! It's beautiful, the staff was very helpful and the location was perfect. Right in the middle of walled city and walking distance to restaurants, bars, shops, and all you need. This was definitely the best choice and if I return to Cartagena, I'll be back at this place."
"While there are several great choices, this hotel is near the edge of town and therefore more quiet. Every hotel in the the old tow section has a great location and is a short want from/to everywhere. The staff and Noi were outstanding. The breakfast was delicious and my room was very elegant.
The rooftop offers a relaxing view of the sea."

It is a small, beautiful, colonial property with wonderful staff (front desk, doormen, cleaners, waiters). Everyone went out of their way to make me feel welcome and safe. The bfast was very good, the coffee strong (a french press, no espresso), and the restaurant has a good ceviche. I worked on my laptop in the courtyard one afternoon and it was amazingly peaceful and productive. The actual room, however, could be improved. The shower temperature was lukewarm to cool (which given the temps...
The people and staff are amazing, they were super helpful, available and caring. The only down it was the contraction of the supermarket that was under construction and they were working 24 hours a day for 3 nights of our stay.
Would highly recommend this hotel. The staff was so friendly. The room very nice, and comfortable. Excellent bathroom with huge walk-in stone showers. The breakfast that is included was fabulous. The rooftop pool had an amazing view. The rooftop lounge area turns into a hip trendy club like setting at night. It is in the center of old city so you can walk anywhere in the wall city. It is a 2 minute walk to Cathedral de San Pedro Claver. The only draw back to the location is you can hear the...
Great location within the walled city with a very accommodating and friendly staff. The patio where the delicious breakfast is served has an incredible view. It can be very loud at night due to the surrounding bars, etc., but earplugs were provided and were extremely helpful to limit the noise.
One of our favorite hotel stays in another country. Fantastic location, beautiful property, comfortable rooms, and delicious breakfast.
The distinguishing factor was service of the staff. When my fiance had a medical incident, the staff sprung into action to help resolve the issue and make sure we were safe and comfortable (not to worry, she's totally ok now!)
this hotel was more than GREAT , the hotel is beautiful , the rooftop area is amazing, and the people there are awesome as well , this was my first time at cartagena and at this hotel i would go back to this same place. everything is so near its the best place to stay.
This is a really nice hotel. The building has recently been completely refurbished. In fact, one of the employees told me I was their first customer! I was hesitant at first to choose this hotel because there were no reviews of it on Expedia since it was a brand new listing. It turned out to be a great choice and at a great promotional price. Everything from the reception area, dining area, and all amenities, including tiles and bathroom fixtures are new and high quality, while retaining a...
Just a short ride away from Cartagena, this hotel is in a premium location in Barú. The hotel staff was excellent and food was great. The facilities are superb. A great place to visit and relax.
Room was nice and comfortable the only thing i didn't like is there is no microwave mini fridge or ice machine. And the last time i stayed here in 2024 i could have as many guest as i wanted 1 at a time of course with no extra charge. This time i had to pay the same amount as the room for one night for a guest. Other than that the place is in the perfect location
The staff is amazing, and the place is very cool and pretty; it’s is an old house (1752!) converted to an hotel with only 12 rooms. Very convenient to everything and very comfortable place to stay.
