Colonia Centro
Colonia Centro brings authentic Mexican island life to your doorstep with vibrant plazas and colorful markets. Stroll past colonial buildings to discover Mercado Municipal's handcrafted Mayan textiles and fresh ceviche. The waterfront malecón offers stunning Caribbean views while Central Plaza buzzes with locals beneath swaying palms. San Miguel Church stands as a cultural landmark worth visiting. Family-run restaurants serve delicious cochinita pibil at wallet-friendly prices throughout the walkable downtown core. Small boutique hotels and guesthouses provide personal service with tropical charm. Most attractions sit within a 10-block radius, making exploration easy by foot or with frequent taxi service.

Zona Hotelera Norte
Zona Hotelera Norte wraps you in Caribbean luxury with pristine white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters right outside your door. This resort-lined stretch of Cozumel's coast turns beach fantasies into reality with snorkeling sanctuaries just steps from hotel lobbies. Palm-lined coastal roads create perfect sunset strolling paths while resort pools offer refreshing breaks from the sun. Dining options range from casual beachside grills to upscale ocean-view restaurants featuring international cuisine with Mexican flair. Most visitors rely on hotel shuttles or taxis to get around, though renting a car makes island exploration easy. The area's modern resorts offer everything from infinity pools to full-service spas, creating an all-in-one tropical escape.

Colonia Andrés
Colonia Andrés gives you a front-row seat to real Mexican island life without the tourist price tag. Wander quiet streets lined with colorful concrete homes where local families go about their day. The neighborhood offers easy access to San Miguel's main attractions like Palacio Municipal while keeping you away from cruise ship crowds. Visit small family-run comedores for authentic Yucatecan dishes at wallet-friendly prices. Getting around is best done by rental scooter or bike on the flat terrain. Simple guesthouses and budget hotels offer genuine Mexican hospitality at rates much lower than resort areas. While there's minimal nightlife, you'll find peaceful evenings perfect for experiencing the rhythm of authentic island living.

Colonos Cuzamil
Colonos Cuzamil welcomes travelers into the heart of authentic Cozumel living, away from touristy crowds. This residential neighborhood gives you a taste of genuine Mexican culture through family-run taquería serving fresh seafood and Yucatecan specialties. Stroll colorful streets where local life unfolds naturally among tropical gardens and friendly faces. Comfortable guesthouses and vacation rentals offer budget-friendly stays at a fraction of resort prices. Getting around is simple with readily available taxis, though renting a car helps if you're heading to nearby beaches. The neighborhood quiets down after dark, perfect for travelers seeking peaceful evenings and a true slice of island community.

Colonia Adolfo López Mateos
Colonia Adolfo López Mateos gives you the real Cozumel without the tourist fluff. Stroll the grid of narrow streets where local life unfolds naturally—kids play, neighbors chat, and roosters announce each morning. You'll find simple taqueriás serving authentic Mexican meals for a few bucks and corner stores where locals grab their daily needs. Getting around is easy on foot or by renting a bicycle. Budget travelers will love the affordable guesthouses and small B&Bs that offer a genuine cultural experience. While there's minimal nightlife, you're still just a short taxi ride from San Miguel's attractions and the island's famous beaches.

Learn more about Cozumel
Beneath turquoise waters, coral reefs create an underwater playground where snorkelers encounter angelfish, parrotfish, and curious sea turtles. At Chankanaab Park, paths wind through botanical gardens before revealing hidden cenotes and a delightful sea lion show. San Gervasio's Mayan ruins offer a glimpse into ancient island life, with iguanas serving as unofficial guardians. Paradise Beach combines white sand with water trampolines, while Mr. Sancho's Beach Club serves incredibly fresh ceviche. After sunset, the malecón fills with locals performing impromptu salsa demonstrations. Rent a scooter to discover the island's wild eastern shore, where waves crash against limestone and beach bars consist of little more than a cooler and hammocks.

InterContinental Presidente Cozumel Resort Spa by IHG
"My wife and I had wonderful time we look forward on going back again"
Iberostar Waves Cozumel - All Inclusive
"Friendly staff overall. They really work hard to please the customers. Food is above average and varied. Not all the restaurants are open. Japanese was open only one day on Saturday. I believe it is due to low season and occupancy. But service and food well worth the money. One thing I did not like is right upon Checking we were assigned a concierge thinking it is their process for first day orientation only to réalise he was the vacation ambush coordinator. After 45 minutes of Con-sell-ierging he decided to send us to the department of gift with conditions. Of course we declined."
El Cozumeleño Beach Resort - All Inclusive
"This is my third time at El Cozumeleno. Relax time at the exceptional beach area. Not sure if any other all inclusive has a similar location and footprint at the beach. Food is fine. People are very friendly and nice all around the pool, beach area. Snorkel activity is a must, specially for first timers so they can see what Cozumel is all about, under the sea."
Grand Park Royal Cozumel - All Inclusive
"Good hotel, but a few details to improve* I enjoyed my stay and I give it 4 stars. The room was nice and comfortable, and I appreciate the upgrade for being an Expedia VIP client. However, there were a few issues on arrival: the room phone was not working and there was no drinking water in the room, which I had to request. Also, the food variety could be improved, especially on the international food night. I expected more options and variety for dinner. With better attention to these small details at check-in and in the restaurant, it would easily be a 5-star experience. I would still consider staying here again."
Occidental Cozumel - All Inclusive
"Not “ALl-inclusive”.. there are tiers.. if you want room service, that’s another tier,..I felt “nickeled and dimed”…no great vegetarian options,.. YOU MUST discuss with hotel beforehand or expect low protein, high carb basic options. Beach closes at 7pm"
Cozumel Hotel & Resort - All Inclusive
"Great hotel. This was my second stay here and I loved it. The location is great, the staff are amazing, and the pool and beach are the best. The only thing that was a sub par was the food. It could have have been a little better, but I was there during the slow season so that may have something to do with it. Overall it was a great stay and I will be back!"
Allegro Cozumel All Inclusive
"This was our second trip there in 2 months. That’s speaks for itself."

"Great hotel"
Hotel Plaza Cozumel
"El hotel esta muy bien ubicado en el centro a dos cuadras del ferry. El desayuno muy bien servido y de muy buen sabor. . Solo estuve dos noches pero tristemente casi no pude dormir porque me picaba mucho las almohadas, las sabanas, quiero pensar que es cosa del detergente que usan y no del colchon, tuve que poner las toallas para dormir sobre ellas, por lo qie hice el checkout muy temprano para irme de alli. Habitacion 318"
