"Check in was quick and easy, the only problem for me was hauling my bags up the outer staircase. The room was clean and reasonably spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the en suite shower room was also clean.
Jacqui was very pleasant and helpful, and I would happily stay here again."

The breakfast was really great and there is lots of options for all diets. Room was spacious and clean, bed was really comfortable. There is also a fridge under the stairs for guests to use which is very thoughtful. Plenty of parking right outside. There’s a few restaurants and a supermarket a short walk...

"Very welcoming Michael on reception was very friendly and knowledgeable and CJ was very helpful as we were on a motorcycle and had 2 panniers and a top box to take upstairs to our room CJ kindly offered to take the 2 panniers to our room and that is now a rarity now a days for any hotel so good on ya"

From the staff at the restaurant / bar to the staff assistance when I couldn’t do the automated checkin (Expedia reservations / non-UK addresses don’t line up with their system), you could tell that they wanted you to be delighted with your stay. "A great place if you wana drive down the night before your cruise as its close to the terminal! Nice freindly staff, food exellent! The room was basic but clean as was the bathroom. We where in a downstairs room so we had noisy upstairs occupants so when they walked across the room you could hear the footsteps and floorboards creaking! Fire alarm went off in the early hours but that cant be helped! Not a bad stay and i would stay there again. Highly recommend the fish&chips👌"

"The owners have clearly made a great effort to make sure this old building gives you a welcoming environment. The room was spacious and clean, the Wi-Fi excellent and secure and the room servicing great. The whole environment was well looked after. If you thought that was good? - I can’t speak highly enough of the staff; reception, bar, breakfast & dinner - all different people but all gave excellent service. I have no problem in returning next time we are on the Island."
