We loved Merida and Luz en Yucantan hotel. Our party of four utilized three different rooms over four nights. The room La Puesta del Sol room was noisy at night due to music from the park a block away even on week nights. Both La Perla and La Sombra rooms faced the pool and were quiet at night. The former had a large patio in front with table and chairs. All beds were comfortable, showers had hot water and the breakfasts were delectable. The Hotel Haciendo was our perfect oasis from the heat and pace of spending the day exploring Merida. The service was truly impeccable, and having breakfast available every morning was a great and delicious way to start the day. We would absolutely stay here again!
Overall it was a very comfortable stay in my basic room. The property manager was very attentive and prompt with any inquiries and/ or needs. The cleaning staff were also very courteous. The house had a nice easy feel to it and it was located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Perhaps, it was the time of year (holidays) that most residents could have been away as the streets around the area were a bit deserted and dark at night for walking alone. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are rustic but very comfortably appointed, firm beds and first class linens. The food is great and micheladas are the best. Nice and clean facility overall. A feeling of airiness in the middle of Merida. And absolutely safe.

The NH is a nice hotel at two corners of the Paseo Montejo. We did not try the breakfast/restaurant because there are plenty upscale restaurants available just down the elevator. The staff was very friendly and watching the sunset from the pool on the rooftop is an amazing experience. Highly recommendable!
