"The Freehand is my go to place every time I'm in Chicago. It is a bohemian treasure and attracts interesting tourists, many from Europe. Good location, just by Eataly in the River North area, and I always have no trouble finding nearby parking on SpotHero. I've stayed here a few times now, and it feels like my 2nd home in Chicago. It has some hostel like qualities, but I've stayed in other hostels and this one is an upgrade. Reminds me of The Jane in New York. We especially love renting a full...

"The set up of the suite worked well, with the bedroom separate from the TV, desk, and bar/refrigerator area. Staff kept the room clean and provided daily cleaning, fresh towels, etc. when we asked. Restaurant on site (676) was terrific for both breakfast and dinner (we did not try lunch there). Workout room had sufficient space and variety of options for daily workouts. Location is excellent for many main sights, river access, several bus routes providing access throughout the city."

"The location was perfect for our stay - right next to the Northwestern Hospital where my daughter had her baby. It was also walking distance to restaurants and shopping. It was an excellent and safe location. We plan to return!"

"newly renovated place - uses a code system to access front doors and rooms, so make sure you know your codes. staff was very flexible and helpful with my storing bags over the weekend between two separate stays. price is right and location is right in the middle of everything you could want or need. short walk to lake and museums, etc. "
