"The Langham is simply unparalleled! The staff, the amenities, the location, food and level of service are at such a high level, I find it unmatched anywhere else. Simply cannot wait to come back I actually came to Chicago to see a concert, I had bought the tickets and the air travel and knew I was going to stay at the Langham but FORGOT to reserve the room! The staff worked with me for 1/2 an hour to shoehorn me into the almost capacity hotel for 2 nights! Amazong"

"Rooms are tiny, extremely dusty and don’t feel clean. There were stains on our sheets and comforter. You cannot turn on the AC until May, so we asked for a fan. The fan we received had dust bunnies all inside of it. I understand it’s an old building but there’s zero excuse for sheet stains and the dust. "

"I found the price you pay for breakfast inclusion there would be more options then a danish, fruit, yogurt, and a coffee that there is a limitation on how much you get. The room was clean, there was issues with plumbing but they were working on fixing it. On the second floor the walls are thin I could hear every word of the TV in the next room. The TV also lost signal multiple times and it would take forever for the tv to come back on. "

"Property is well located in the River North area, with many restaurants and bars. I stayed in one of the queen rooms, which was very clean but small, with a queen size bed, and two small nightstands. There was a metal rack to hang clothes. Perhaps because of the unusual room configurations in converting a historic building, the bath area in my room was spacious compared to the room size. The air conditioning in my room did not work, and there were no other rooms available. The windows open a crack, and they provided a fan to circulate the air. However, my room remained at an uncomfortable temperature of 77°. To their credit, they offered a discount on my room rate because of the inoperable air conditioning. Although not rude, I wouldn’t describe my check-in experience as particularly welcoming, and offered a little information about the property. The two members of the housekeeping staff that I encountered were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I would describe the property as a poor value for the price paid. It’s overpriced by about 20–25%. For an additional $20-$25 a night, you can stay at some modest nearby properties which offer larger rooms, a desk and chair, and more storage space. And the nearby properties use key cards, so you don’t have to fumble with your cell phone, looking up a six digit front door code, and then fumbling at your room door using a different six digit code."
