This was the worst experience I have ever had with hotels.com and I left without staying the night. The key was unnecessary since the door didn’t lock from the outside, only the inside. The staff was unpleasant and unhelpful. I had to speak to the “manager” because they couldn’t figure out what to charge me even though it was clearly labeled on the web site. I asked for a quiet room away from noise because I had to get up early and was given a noisy room. I mentioned that the room was noisy as it was getting late and I was told by the staff person that “people are living their life”. There was no suggestion about changing rooms to accommodate me. The TV either didn’t work or I couldn’t figure it out and it was suggested that I was going to bed soon so he would consider coming by later for the tv (if necessary) even though it was going to be difficult to sleep with noisy neighbors. The room was uncomfortable, old and in mediocre to lousy condition. I don’t know how clean it was since I left before finding out. The room was very inexpensive and that should have been my clue there would be some problems, but it seemed to have good reviews so I took a chance. I guess you get what you pay for but I would prefer a refund!
