Gamla Väster is a picturesque part of Malmö's Old Town (Gamla staden) and a charming place to do some shopping. There are plenty of different fashion boutiques including both larger chains selling exclusive brands as well as smaller, independent stores where you can pick up something unique. The area itself has retained a lot of its old-world charm, with plenty of beautiful and historic buildings and streets to admire as you stroll around from shop to shop.
Most of what you can see is from the 19th-century, although certain streets and buildings have features dating back to the Middle Ages. What's more, the area's proximity to both Stortorget square and Little Square (Lilla torg) make it an excellent location to pause for a cup of coffee or a bite to eat when energy levels run low.

Södra Förstadsgatan is the southern entrance to Malmö's historic centre and a great place to find both small shops and large malls in a quiet yet central location. The Triangeln Shopping Centre is located at the northern end of Södra Förstadsgatan while many smaller stores lie close together along the entire length of the street. The range of products on offer is eclectic but fashion and home decor are particularly abundant.
There are also second-hand shops and boutiques if you're on the hunt for a stylish new addition to your wardrobe. Or if it's home accessories you're after, you'll find a number of larger chains selling everything from furniture and lamps to paintings and rugs.

The modern and centrally located Triangeln Shopping Centre is home to 150 shops across two floors, bathed in natural light which streams in through the glass roof. You'll find a broad range of different products but especially stores selling fashion and home decor. Triangeln is also home to many delightful eateries where you can take your pick between fast food, simpler dishes or a sweet snack. Some of the restaurants also offer a nice view over the bustling crowds on the walkways outside.

Caroli is not so much a shopping centre as it is a meeting place; a cosy part of town with every amenity on hand, from health and beauty products to good food and drink. At Mobilia in southern Malmö, you'll find heaps of popular high street chains within everything from sports to home decor. The shopping centre is one of the biggest in town and not only boasts a number of popular chains, but also a number of shops which are exclusive to Mobilia. Svågertorp is located just off the E20 motorway and the railway line which makes it easy to reach either by car or train.
