Llevant Beach, the city’s easternmost beach, is popular for activities both in the water and out, with swimming areas marked by buoys and volleyball courts open to the public. The 375-metre beach is man-made and opened to the public in 2006 in the Sant Marti district.
Created after the removal of an aged jetty and the construction of a platform for a marine zoo, the beach has become a quieter, less crowded alternative to Nova Mar Bella Beach, farther from the city centre. The beach is now optimised for recreational use and beloved by both those familiar with and those new to the area.
