La Havana is your ticket to a party fuelled by Latin passion on the island of Mallorca. Waiting in the blocks behind the beaches of Cala Millor, the largest resort on the east coast, it's far away from the pumping nightlife hub of Magaluf but still offers shindigs that go on until sunup.

As the name suggests, the music policy here is a melody of samba, jazz, rumba, and bossa nova, often remixed for extra bass and energy. Tokio Joe's is one of the supremo R&B clubs on Mallorca. Sat smack dab in the thick of the Magaluf action, it graces the buzzing Strip of Carrer Punta Ballena. You really can't miss it – there's a vintage Cadillac framed by shimmering neon lights poking right out of the signage.

Patrons enter into a cellar dancefloor that's surrounded by a quad of bar areas. The DJ booth is lofted overhead, where the in-house spinners drop bass-heavy tunes all night long. Tokio Joe's is also known for hosting some of the wildest rep parties of the summer, so be sure to get there for end-of-season or launch shindigs.

Rockefeller's Disco is part pub, part dance club. It sits on the winding roads that pass Cala Major, a short walk from the stunning beachfront and the groups of chilled chiringuito surf shacks on the shore. A set of neon-lit steps lead up to the entranceway, which opens into a hazy bar area that's often plumed in shisha smoke.

The folks at Rockefeller's Disco are known for mixing up creative cocktail combos, and there's also a menu of classic mixed tipples, from Long Island iced teas to Margaritas, to boot. More intimate than the mega clubs, this is a place to meet and mingle with the locals and other travellers. It's also a great place to catch the footie before dancing the evening away. 

The Blue Jazz Club Saratoga is a place to slow things down and get the romance a-going. A chic and luxurious spot to crack a bottle of Spanish Rioja and sample some artistically made tapas plates, it's located close to the downtown core of Palma, just a 10-minute walk from the stunning medieval cathedral.

Here, the vibes are less all-night dancing, more refined evenings of good drinks and good conversation. There are a series of spaces to chill in, from the minimalist interior to the cool patio areas that spill around a central swimming pool. At sunset, check out the Saratoga Sky Bar for sweeping panoramas of Palma's skyline as a backdrop. 

There's no need to ditch the bikini and the swim shorts for Oceans Beach Club. This venue is a true coast bar, with terraces that rise just steps from the sparkling yellow sands and see-through waters of Platja de Magaluf. It's done out in a boho mix of jute and bamboo, bringing a little bit of Bali to the Balearic isles.

It's best to pre-book a suite or a lounge area. That will guarantee space in what's arguably the most popular day-drinking spot in Magaluf. Music is always flowing, starting with chill-hop summer tunes by day and then heavier dance hits at night. There's also some excellent food, in the form of Iberico ham croquet and nacho plates, served right on the poolside if you like. 

Angel's is a vibrant place to catch some live music and well-known DJs in Cala Ratjada. It sits in the heart of the resort, just a 10-minute walk from the yacht-filled marina. The nightclub is close to 3 or 4 large discos in the town, most notably the sister club of Bolero.

You'll first enter a cacti-dotted garden space with some cool lounge seating and babbling fountains. From there, the club leads inside to a vast dance space that's illuminated with dim red neon and a circle of spotlights. The music policy at Angel's is famously varied, with live rock bands on offer one night and drum and bass maestros the next.

Lunita is a hedonistic weekender spot that operates from Friday night to Sunday night in the main season. Look for it right on the doorstep of the airport, in the resort of Ca'n Pastilla, just one bend off the main highway linking to Palma.

Music policies at Lunita cut across genres and generations alike. Expect a mashup of chill-hop, low-fi, chart tunes, drum and bass, and techno on any given night. That fills the main dancefloor and flows out into the alfresco space, where there's a small splash pool and a series of lounge areas shaded by the palms.

Banana Club Mallorca offers a unique approach to partying with over 50 themed nights, including neon and circus parties. You can expect at least 2 themed events every week during the summer months.

Club NL Mallorca is a notable spot in Mallorca’s vibrant clubbing scene. It’s one of the largest Dutch-themed nightclubs in the El Arenal, a vibrant section on the west coast of Mallorca. Dance to hip-hop, urban, and house by talented DJs. Regular names include Freddy Moreira, Yung Felix, and Saint Liz.

For a more unique clubbing experience, take part in the Mallorca Open Air Festival. This weekly fest takes place at Club NL Mallorca on Tuesdays. Note that the nightclub only opens in the summer.
