Doesn’t look much from the outside but surprisingly good on the inside. Rooms clean, cool and comfortable and the restaurant served a delicious selection with great service too.

Food was burnt, it was a chicken burger how do you get that wrong , starter was very tasty soup but Luke warm. Will not revisit due to the bad food. Shame as staff lovely with great location and nice rooms. I stay out in hotels and pubs 1-4 nights a week. Will not stay again.

The hotel met my expectations. Clean and tidy. Bed very comfortable. Staff very pleasant. Request a room at the back of the hotel on the 2nd floor to ensure no noise from the road. I am a light sleeper I did hear my neighbour coughing in the morning but it wasnt to early. The Bistro/Bar located next to the hotel was very nice, I didnt eat in the evening bit it was very popular with locals and travellers. The breakfast the next day was exceptional!!!! The choice was excellent and all good quality food - well done to the Chef and team!!!!

Nice hotel particularly for people with a car. Convenient car access and plentiful parking. Area is near a motorway and with an open window there was some minor car noise but otherwise quiet. The area is not walkable and there are no nearby shops or restaurants. On the other hand, the attached restaurant was excellent both for breakfast and supper. Staff was extremely helpful. Never used the gym so cannot comment there. Good wifi and plentiful hot water.

The hotel was fine, the issue was on check out I was refused a VAT invoice as I booked it via hotels.com. I have never had this before and she would not explain why and just not helpful whatsoever even when I explained I needed it for my work.

Very comfortable stay. Reception upon arrival was excellent. There was ample parking. Hotel situated close to Park and Ride area which enabled easy access to Exeter City centre by bus. Catering in general was very good. Would have no hesitation staying at these premises again.

The rooms were lovely, clean and spacious and the air conditioning was lovely during the hot weather. Breakfast was good, with a wide variety of options from fresh fruit, cereal, toast, pastries, hot cooked breakfast, fruit juice and tea and coffee. I do think the menu for the lunch evening food could have had more options and also the service could have been improved slightly. Although the staff were extremely friendly, unfortunately the service was quite slow, one evening we waited over 40 minutes for our meal. We had only been told about a long wait for the food after we had ordered our drinks and food, this should really have been advised as we entered the restaurant, not when we ordered. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would return of ever in the area.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times and will happily stay again! WiFi is quick, staff are friendly, gym is useful (quite small, but handy), breakfast is lovely and beds are comfy! My only small disappointment was the bathroom was in a need of tidying up. Shower panel had come off and the shower cubicle was tired. But genuinely, it’s nothing that would put me off in anyway!

Really lovely hotel and staff were wonderful! Food in the restaurant was also great and we shared a number of starters which had a lovely Greek twist the pomegranate dressing on the halloumi was exceptional Easy access to major routes and the city so a good spot for visiting Exeter.

Great room and overall location, perfect for if you are needing to be in the south of Exeter. Would always stay here when visiting Exeter for the rooms, the food and the overall hospitality. Prices are extremely reasonable for the area and going for a room on the lower floors with a sitting area is a nice touch.

This is a great hotel as it is on the outskirts of Exeter so you don’t have to drive into the busy city and it has free parking. The rooms are well maintained and the staff are lovely.

On the whole a very satisfactory stay. Two small criticisms. The sir conditioning system was temperamental, and persistently defaulted to 20 c. Secondly, a large black car was parked outside our room throughout our stay, in the space which, presumably, should have been available for our car.

Had a great stay at the Devon hotel as it was impeccably clean, the staff were lovely and helpful and we also received a free drink voucher for each of us who stayed there. Would definitely recommend a stay at the Devon Hotel.
