"I was made welcome by friendly and professional staff from start to finish. There was also a fire alarm event at the start of my stay which I thought was managed well but I would reccommend using a Megaphone when communicating directions with the evacuated guests."

"Stunning communal spaces, stairs and bar. That staff are very courteous and helpful. You can even rent an umbrella. There is parking and it’s at the reduced rate of £22 if you pay at reception (£40 outside) Our room was a superior king but faced the station. BE AWARE that rear facing rooms get to hear the trains idle at the station for 15-30 mins at a time despite double glazing. A tip would be to master the air con before bedtime as it’s tricky to use (until you know how) and the rooms get quite warm without it."

"The bathroom needs cleaning properly! The sink had a residue in it ( I wiped it down with a small towel and the only cleaning product to hand….shower gel! ). There is some black mould starting on the tiles and water damage at the bottom of the door frame in side the bathroom. The room was very hot even with the window open jar. It would be really uncomfortable in the summer. We were near a door and it’s really noisy! I was annoyed at being charged £36 for car parking having not been told this at check-in. I would have parked elsewhere."
