The inn is perched up right on the edge of the moors with some stunning views.
It is a 2 min walk down the hill to the beautiful hamlet or up the very steep hill to the ruins of the old iron ore furnaces.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic we would book again.

"Had a wonderful stay at a wonderful pub. Location is perfect and character of the pub is amazing. Lovely locally brewed beer and great food. Bad timing on our part that the brewery was closed so couldn't do the tour but gives u great excuse to go back. "

"Well what a really pleasant place, surpassed all expectations. We stayed in The Horseshoe Suite and it was perfect for a short stay. Our only problem would have been the bath size - small, but the shower was more than adequate. "Our stay was lovely: the manageress, bar staff and waitresses were all welcoming. They provided information about the local area and showed interest when we returned after our days out.
We stayed three nights in a very comfortable room, with a good selection at breakfast. We ate in one evening which very tasty.

The toilet seat does slip, there always feels to be holes in the floor boards the bathroom and stairs
There’s a weird lip walking into the dining room/kitchen which we nearly tripped over a good few times
The fridge was very bipolar where it either didn’t keep things cool or froze them
Also the temperature gauge for the heating kept falling off exposing live cables which could have electrocuted if touched as it was...

"El personal super calido y amable, en especial la chica que tienen en los desayunos, te hace sentir bienvenido y cuidado, solo que a mucho personal le hace falta su gafete con su nombre, lo cual es una pena y no se pueden identificar bien.
Los cuartos son espaciosos y las camas son realmente cómodas, pero es decepcionante la limpieza, la tina estaba extremadamente sucia, en especial el desagüe, no es agradable bañarse en un lugar así.
El gimnasio cuenta con mucho equipo variado y eso es un 10, pero es extremadamente frío y no nada agradable, tambien las maquinas las tienen oxidadas y da un pésimo aspecto a el área, como si estuviera descuidada.
Claramente volveré al hotel, pero solo por su muy amable servicio, cómodas camas y excelente ubicación, sería increíble si pusieran atención a los detalles, le daría ése plus que necesita."
