"Awesome staff, family owned and operated who go out their way to assure their guests are happy. Awesome coffee shop and breakfast. The hotel is a bit far from the famous city center and guests have to hike up and down to get there or catch a ride. "

" My best friend and I spent 12 nights at this stunning boutique hotel, using it as our perfect home base. Tucked away on the outskirts of Amalfi, this cliffside gem felt like a hidden paradise—peaceful, quiet, and boasting breathtaking views in every direction. We even had a private deck with a jacuzzi overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. The staff—shoutout to Asia, Tareeq, and Angelo—were incredible. They were so friendly and constantly went above and beyond, even trekking up and down the stairs all day to greet guests and help with luggage. Fair warning: there are about 170 stairs to get down to the hotel (I didn't count, but someone did! 😂). It’s a bit of a workout, so it’s definitely not the spot for anyone with mobility issues. We cherished every second of our stay and cannot recommend this hotel enough!"

"Staying in Hotel Residence was one of our the best experiences. The Hotel is recently renovated The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room was equipped with Jacuzzi. You could have a relaxing time after hiking or sepending day in beach. Our room had a view to both beach and city central. The best things about this hotel, is about few minutes walk from ferry or bus. You don't need taxi or carry your luggage to up hills. The breakfast had a great selection. Meanwhile it had the best view toward the beach. Thanks to friendly professional staff."

"We were very excited about staying here with a balcony looking out over the Amalfi Cathedral, but the hotel was having building work done on the facade, so we couldn’t see a view or use the balcony. However, the hotel told us this beforehand & gave us complimentary limoncello plus 30% off dinner in their rooftop restaurant which was excellent & did offer a beautiful view there. I’d stay here again. Great room too. "

The staff was amazing, our suite was absolutely stunning and wonderfully acquainted, and housekeeping was adorable with their little notes left in Italian. We enjoyed every moment and I would recommend staying here if you are considering a vacation in Amalfi. You will NOT regret it!!! Absolutely promise!"

"Breakfast is not really a buffet. They serve you and there could be a long line. Food is cold and they even have a microwave on the side. The hotel is quite old and they have plastic glasses in the room. Not nice "
