I can't say enough good things about my stay here. 1st was how safe myself and my husband felt leaving me alone at the hotel for several days while he worked. It was an amazing rejuvenating stay..amazing spa, meals, room, views, walking trails...I can't wait to go back. This is my go to spot for life!
Sue was great! Very attentive, and organized. Made sure that we were settled in properly. We even had a small refrigerator in our room! She thought of everything. Loved all of the flowers and plants in the front yard. Her home and rooms were lovely. Would definitely come back!
We had a lovely, but too short stay here. We were easily able to check in and had a nice night's rest. Breakfast in the morning was lovely and very generous.
The staff was so helpful and so funny! The room was well small-ish but perfectly comfortable and the window opened for a nice breeze in the evening. The meals were very nice and the location/surroundings are beautiful!
Very authentic but needs a refresh without losing its historic authenticity. Needs elevator and trailheads are too far (1 1/2 miles to Old Corpse Road trailhead) - needs trailhead right behind hotel.
Dinner menu not good — very fancy, very narrow, might be popular in Knightsbridge or Kensington but not in mountains where people out and about and craving hearty meal at end of day- the “bread” was ridiculous.
Hazel, Ian and Auntie Chris were wonderful hosts. We had a shared bathroom that was no problem. Beautiful old manse with attractive, professionally gardened grounds. Room was like out of a movie. Orchids, fresh flowers, beautifully furnished and kept. Bathroom was huge with upscale amenities. Royal Worchestershire china and nicknacks. Breakfast included and fit for royalty.
