Bedroom was lovely - very comfortable and clean. Plenty of storage and hanging space.
Breakfast was excellent, cooked to order. Plenty of options.
Peaceful and quiet area.
Park and ride into York under 10 minutes drives away.

"Had a lovely one night stay. Richard and Karen were very good hosts. Room was nice, with a very comfortable bed. Good facilities, en-suite. Nice touch was the fresh milk in the fridge, just outside the room for tea and coffee, along with a couple of bottles of water. Also had a couple of bars of chocolate on the hospitality tray! Although property is in centre of town it is on a small side road and is very quiet. Parking is nearby, which Richard directs you to and is very reasonably priced....

Had a couple of beers in the beer garden , freshened up then a gorgeous meal in the orangery.

"The room were clean, comfortable and well appointed with tea and coffee facilities. Bathroom was spotless with shower gel and shampoo provided and extra large fluffy bath sheets. A little warm due to excessive summer temperatures, however fans and air conditioning units were provided. Fresh milk and cold drinking water and ice was available at the bar which was a nice touch. We didn’t end up eating in the restaurant due to complicated dietary requirements, however everything looked delicious....

"We really enjoyed our stay here, the property was well equipped with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. I do think the property does need updating a little and it would have been nice if the hot tub had been filled on arrival, the hot tub also needs a cover as unless you like cold feb rain wouldn’t have been enjoyable. "I booked the stay as part of a surprise for my husband's birthday, and he was very impressed and absolutely raved about it. He could not fault a single thing about our stay. Starting with the location, it was not far to walk to York centre (around 20 minutes or so). We stayed in the Samurai suite. The theming of the room was fantastic, right down to the sunken bath. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and it was evident that the owners had not scrimped on quality of the furnishings or bedding....

"Great location 10-15 flat walk to Yorkminster. Brilliant attention to detail (tissues and cotton pads in the room). Very high quality bathroom, comfortable bed, quiet. Lovely breakfast, would recommend and will stay there again when in York. "
