Travelers can explore galleries, catch street musicians, or browse the farmers market at Commercial Street Plaza. Dining options range from cozy cafes to craft breweries where Pacific Northwest flavors shine through fresh seafood and local produce. Boutique hotels in restored historic buildings make perfect home bases at moderate prices. Most downtown attractions sit within a three-block radius, making exploration easy on foot, while WTA buses connect to wider Bellingham adventures.

Holiday Inn Express Bellingham by IHG
"This hotel was okay, the room was clean, but the noise at this hotel is pretty bad. The plumbing is very noisy, you can hear every toilet flush and shower run, the rooms are also not very soundproof at all, all night i could hear people walking around, car horns when people where locking their cars, people talking in the hallway. The beds were okay for comfort, definitely indented where people sleep. The pool was okay but pretty cold, and the hot tub needs to be deep cleaned. The best part of our stay was the breakfast, they do have probably the best hotel breakfast ive ever had at a hotel. I was bummed that the gym was not actually part of the hotel, they partner with a gym located outside of the hotel which is inconvenient. Overall the stay was mediocre, the breakfast made up for the mediocre experience."
Holiday Inn & Suites Bellingham by IHG
"very good value!"
Heritage Inn
"We had a fantastic stay. The reason for not giving five stars on everything was that the small strip of grass designated for allowing dogs to relieve themselves had so much dog poop on it it was difficult to walk without stepping in it. The poop bag dispenser was empty. We had our own poop bags and picked up after our dog and a few others we could fit in the same bag but much more clean up was needed. Other than that one issue we loved staying at Heritage Inn."

"Dry nice property for an extremely reasonable price. Clean, well maintained and easy access close to freeway. Would stay there again."
Motel 6 Bellingham, WA
"Rooms are clean and fairly well maintained. General wear and tear does exist. Staff is very helpful and will come right away to solve any issues. Laundry on site is cheap and clean, very nice amenity."
