We had an amazing two night stay while away for a weekend wedding. It was super quiet and the staff were amazingly friendly. We highly recommend!

Great location outside of the downtown close to some restaurants. The conditioner was out in my shower and there were no coffee cups in my room. The noise from adjoining rooms was noticeable and I made use of the provided ear plugs. Rooms were very spacious but a bit dim.

Heliotrope was exactly as advertised — a fun refresh of an old motel. Staff was excellent upon check in & stay was quiet.

Fun hotel and very friendly staff. We loved the garden and the hotel is close to many great breakfast places and restaurants.

Welcoming staff, very clean, rooms in the back were more quiet because farther away from the street. Simple and spacious rooms ( we stayed in #9.) Nice to have microwave, refrigerator and tea kettle, but mattress was too firm and the fire pit was never available , this was an amenity that we were looking forward to on the cold evenings. Front staff were moody at times, so customer service was inconsistent.

Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Availability of purchasing lobby snacks was nice, and the complimentary coffee in the lobby was great. A cute little retro place.

I had a great stay at the Heliotrope Hotel. The front desk staff was amazing—they were genuinely friendly, welcoming, and made it clear they cared about making my stay enjoyable. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location for exploring Bellingham. I appreciated how easy everything was, from check-in to check-out. I'd definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

This hotel is awesome! So cute! Very clean and comfortable beds. The yard was fun to play bags in and hang out. Would stay here again for sure.

Extremely lovely room and comfortable bed. This will likely be my default place to stay in the area in the future.

The staff was very friendly and explained everything and all the processes thoroughly; the room was clean, quiet, and had a lot of thoughtful inclusions; and the included doggie care package was a lifesaver on our trip!

The room was amazing and clean. Great AC unit. Loved the fenced dog area and yard. I LOVED the big deep fire pit however disagree with needing to be babysat when it came to starting and maintaining a fire as was told by a staff member. They were kind about letting me know after they realized I had started a fire. The pit is super deep and safe. There was nothing on the info sheet about these rules. Otherwise great place and will stay again for sure. My pup loved it!

This place doesn't look that spectacular from the outside but this is a roomy, clean, safe, very friendly place that is walkable to a lot of locations.

What a wonderful surprise. Quiet, clean, cute and affordable. Walking distance to good restaurants, and downtown area. Tastefully retrofitted—would definitely recommend.

The room was just right… clean, great bedding, nice towels and quiet. And the great addition was sheers added to the black out curtains… on a previous stay I had spoken with the staff about how nice the sheers could be… AND voila…, they have appeared. Great upgrade!! Thank you. B.C.
