Learn more about Ticonderoga
Between two magnificent waters, Fort Ticonderoga stands as a living museum where costumed interpreters make revolutionary history feel immediate and personal. The fort's stone walls have witnessed more drama than a Netflix series, while offering views that explain why everyone fought over this spot. Take a boat tour on Lake Champlain where bald eagles might photobomb your selfies. Hike to Eagle Lake for Adirondack vistas that will fill your camera roll and empty your phone battery. The Ticonderoga Historical Society occupies the handsome Hancock House, where exhibits tell tales of local characters who'd deserve their own biopics. After exploring, locals recommend watching sunset from the shores of either lake – nature's own evening entertainment that requires no admission fee.

Maple Leaf Motel
"Very spacious room, has a bed-and-breakfast country feel to it. Extremely smooth check-in/check-out..."
Courtyard Middlebury
"quiet location, away from busy highways. Very clean and comfortable. Close to downtown and restaurants."
Middlebury Inn
"Just a lovely place! It was quiet and cozy, within walking distance of restaurants and shops. The staff were very nice and I had two good meals in the restaurant. I'd definitely return."
Silver Bay YMCA Inn and Conference Center
"For first-time visitors, the campus can be a little confusing to navigate, but it's easy to get the hang of it after a short time. The rooms are a bit dated, but everything—especially the bathrooms—is exceptionally clean and well maintained. The prices are very reasonable, making it a great value. We stayed in one of the units without air conditioning, and it wasn't an issue at all. The evenings by the lake were cool and pleasant, making for a comfortable stay."
Circle Court Motel
"Staff was amazing and the room was clean!!"
Brandon Inn
"Charming, well kept, great staff. Everything you could hope for in an historic inn in Vermont."
Lake Bomoseen Lodge
"Room super clean and comfortable. The view of the lake was beautiful. Sadly, the goose poop all over the docks and grass was the deciding factor against returning with young grandchildren later in the summer."
Trout House Village Resort
"Amazing spot on Lake George. From our interactions with other guests, it seems like a place families come back to year after year. Don't miss the short hike up to the overlook!"
HIGHLANDS CASTLE overlooking Lake George.. plus 2 other Castles!
"We loved our visit here. John and Yvonne were wonderful. The space was clean, quiet, and truly magical. The views were second to none and the castle and other buildings are truly worth experiencing. We loved learning about the history of this place and we will certainly be back."
