"Amazing stay, room smelled a little musty on the first day otherwise everything was perfect. Destination charger was a nice touch; we were able to charge our Tesla on both nights. Breakfast was great; staff was very polite to the guests. Would definitely come back again. "

"I have stayed 3 nights since my first visit & I must say that first staff or stay yes it was clean I’ve realized last 2 stays the room had candy on the floor skittles from prior stay laundry room filthy carpets looked like it haven’t been vacuum in days in hallways I had a ball of hair in drainage which slowed it going down stock up so I checked omg nasty I love the breakfast & amenities bt last stays game room floor dirty I was ask for a broom to help out I love this hotel step the cleaning up a notch & I went during the wk"

"My room was very clean. My bed was very comfortable. The hall on which my room was located appeared to have been renovated fairly recently. The hotel has a "vintage" feel -- with parts of it clearly dating to an earlier era (maybe back to the 1970s) when it was new and up-to-date. On the plus side, the indoor swimming pool is probably double the size of any hotel pool being built today -- I enjoyed a lovely solo swim in it. However, I noted that the posted rules were confusing (one said an adult had to accompany a swimmer under age 16, another on the same sign said the swimmer needed to be above 18 to enter alone). In the room, we were told to use a chain to bar the door from the inside, but the mechanism on the door had no chain. The carbohydrate-heavy breakfast, including coffee with only artificial creamers, was situated in what was once a large restaurant. I mention these details just to say, "This is not a brand-new, totally uniform hotel; it's quirky and shows its age in some ways." However, it served my purpose of providing a comfortable overnight stay for a price that was 30% lower than my stay in a brand-new chain hotel the following night. (And that latter new hotel had a mini-fridge that was half the size of the one I used in this vintage hotel; plus the traffic noise was greater in the new hotel.) I would stay in this quirky, age-showing hotel again; I can't say the same for the new hotel where I slept the following night."

"Hotel staff was kind and friendly, room was clean and well kept. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels for work, this was one of a few I stayed for leisure, I would definitely come back."

"A lot different from the last time we have been here. Accommodation was ok. Beds were caved in and weren’t really confortable. The biggest dissapointment was the lazy river which isn’t really lazy. Missing way too many tubes so bigger kids and adults are swimming and racing in the river and it isn’t really as safe as it used to be. Kids 48 inches and below must wear life vest now. Didn’t understand until I realized how people were swimming in it. It was less expensive than previously so I guess we got what we paid for. Staff was amazing though. Oh and no wi-Fi the entire weekend"

"First time staying at the Fort but one of many, many trips to LG. You can’t beat the lake views from here. For two adults and two kids, we appreciated our room being close to the indoor pool (still off season, so the outdoor pool was still closed) we also appreciated the closeness to our parking lot and access to the stairs that bring you down to the lower parking area by the boats. It’s just overall, a great location, easy walking access to the all the fun. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. We will be staying again!"
