"Hotel Indigo has extremely friendly staff (professional and welcoming). Central location, very close to Bourke street. Silent, no street noise at all or even sounds from other guests. Also, impressively thick curtains. After a late arrival, I slept well after sunrise! Comfy bed. The reception is surprisingly on the second floor. Multiple speedy elevators made access very easy. "Wonderful hotel. Central location to Melb CBD, its restuarants and especially handy for short walk to Victoria Market. We ventured a little further to some venues in West & North Melbourne on foot but tram options exist. Wonderful rooms, excellent breakfast, and we loved the Douglas Club bar"

"This is a truly amazing hotel. Very close to Southern Cross Marvel Stadium Crown. Lots of restaurants. Breakfast is included in all rooms (Full breakfast). Room was small but more than adequate for our needs beds very good. Shower pressure could have been a bit better. Some better signage out the front would help."

"A wonderful boutiquey type hotel right in the centre of all the Laneway action. It’s in a great location, near lots of cafés, bars and restaurants, as well as all the touristy things like theatres and markets. The staff are wonderful, the rooms also (we had a Capitol room which was spacious) and their cafe also great. Definitely recommend and will stay again for sure."

The Sky Bus worked out great, but it is a bit of a slightly uphill hike from the Southern Cross station to the hotel. We took an Uber back to the bus depot when we departed as it was raining. It was only around $13AUD."

"The view was surprisingly amazing - the lights at Southbank at night and along the Yarra River to the MCG in daylight. The room was clean and bigger than expected. It’s in the free transport zone so you can jump onto the passing trams but still an easy walk along Flinders Street to the city centre. Also walked to South Melbourne Market. A really good base for my 5 days in Melbourne. Also a short walk to Southern Cross station where there is a Woolworths "
