We loved staying here! Unfortunately we had a last minute change to our stay but Dana was able to accommodate us and made sure we were taken care of. The room was spacious and we appreciated the tea and coffee service. Super comfortable bed after a long road trip. Very convenient to the Whole Foods and area restaurants. Incredibly quiet room. Would definitely stay here again!

So far the best 5-star hotel I've stayed at. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the valet, and bags were taken in by the staff. Complimentary champagne and wine during check-in. We needed a place to stay for the night where we could park our truck and RV safely while getting a good night’s rest and a meal. This place checked all of the boxes for us, including accommodations for the smoker so he didn’t have to keep meandering through the halls to get outside to smoke. So rare these days to find a hotel that still has any dedicated smoking rooms!

We stayed here for 1 night, after skiing in Kirkwood. Loved the hotel. The rooms are super spacious and eveything was to our liking. Will defn stay here again rather than south lake tahoe while skiing in Kirkwood.

PET FRIENDLY!!!! Due to our cat being recently diagnosed with diabetes, we have to take her everywhere we go now and discovered The Sugarloaf is actually pet friendly. It was our first time staying here however we felt like we have known them for years. The owners were so welcoming and caring and we got to meet the team member that has been there the longest not to mention the cutest, a kitty named Smokey and she was absolutely amazing.

Again, upgraded -- flat screen TV, electric fireplace that kept me warm throughout the cold night, King bed with soft sheets, soft blanket, beautiful coverlet, large soft pillows. We stayed at this property 6 years ago when it was affiliated with our timeshare. We liked it then, but we really loved our stay this time. Love the ambiance, but not crazy about additional charge for parking & additional charge for breakfast. Those were not charged before. But, overall, it was a great stay.
This is a wonderful place and takes dogs. We have a smaller rescue who we never leave alone because she has abandonment fears. We take her everywhere and this is a real treat to be in such a lovely hotel.
