PET FRIENDLY!!!! Due to our cat being recently diagnosed with diabetes, we have to take her everywhere we go now and discovered The Sugarloaf is actually pet friendly. It was our first time staying here however we felt like we have known them for years. The owners were so welcoming and caring and we got to meet the team member that has been there the longest not to mention the cutest, a kitty named Smokey and she was absolutely amazing.

The staff were kind, helpful and truly on top of things. I was in the valley the weekend of the Genoa cowboy festival and it was just a hop, skip and a jump down the road.

I really loved this hotel. A few things were not so great. But nothing to get mad about. The shower in the bathroom shower head was positioned very low. I had to do a backbend to get the shampoo out of my hair. But that’s not the first time I have experienced this The breakfast could have some more choices. From our greeting at the door to warm goodbye at the end of our stay, Linda and Johan made our stay sensational. We experienced all the things that you would expect at a great B&B (comfy bed, tourist info, clean bathroom, etc). From the outside looks like a run down hotel until you get into the room very nice. Very family oriented. Pool & Gaming area’s. Nice that there is access to the Lake Shore.
Our stay at this hotel was nice. Clean facility and hotel room. Beds were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast bar was good with a nice variety. The hot tub and pool looked inviting, altho’ we didn’t use it.
I would advise to book on top floor, to not get “walking noise” from others and not to book near hot tub/pool area, due to noise.
The hotel is just great! Fantastic view of the lake and the amenities in the rooms are really good. Coffee, tea, microwave, toaster. The place was also very clean.
Great location- walk across the street to get to bike trails and beach access. Hotel is cute with lots of rustic reclaimed wood and nice decor. Had great wine and watched Monday night football at Uncorked with some friendly locals. Only minor downside is showerhead was from about 1976 so the shower experience wasn't as great as I assumed it would be with all the other uogrades and attention to detail
