Cormorant Beach House was a welcoming shelter against the elements and a stark contrast to the bare infrastructure of the island.
The hotel rooms are either directly facing the beach or if you’re on the second floor, it’s literally on the beach. The ocean view was absolutely gorgeous and the beach was not crowded at all.
We loved going up to the rooftop terrace to enjoy breakfast. Hats off to the chef and his assistance for preparing our delicious breakfast and making us feel like we’re home....
The property managers were one of the best. They are very humble and go out of the way to help you. The gentleman was always available to drop us anywhere we needed to go. On the last day he woke up especialy to drop us to the dock at 5 AM.
We booked a 4 bed family room and there was ample space for all of us. It had 4 queen size beds.
This was an amazing hotel! Perfect location: across the street from the beach (amazing views), right at the start of the bike trail to the Wall of Tears. Nextdoor is a boatdwalk that takes you past iguanans and flamingos, right to the tortoise breeding center. The staff were wonderful. Pur driver, Family, was so kind and welcoming! The airport trabsfer is incredibly useful ... he even helped with our bags at the airport and getting us checked in. Food was great. Our room was spacious and...
We had a lovely stay at Hostal las Gardenias! The location is ideal - 15 min walk or quick taxi from the ferry dock, two blocks from the beach, and right in the heart of town. The lady at the front desk is so nice, and made us feel very welcome. The rooms are very clean, nice beds, with good AC. The breakfast is tasty, with coffee, juice, fruit, bread and jam, cheese, and eggs. The wifi doesn't quite reach the rooms, but is very strong in the common areas, and there are tables there if you need...
The hotel was very beautiful and kept incredibly clean and tidy. The staff was more accommodating than anywhere I have ever stayed. They helped us plan out activities for each day and had a lot of great information about the island.
