Imagine soaking up the atmosphere at Stade Amahoro, a stadium in Remera. If you think Stade Amahoro is cool, you also might like BK Arena, located nearby.
Beneath terraced hills, Rwanda's capital unfolds like a meticulous garden. The sobering Kigali Genocide Memorial demands a visit, offering essential context for understanding the country's remarkable rebirth. Afterward, the vibrant chaos of Kimironko Market awaits, where haggling for colorful fabrics becomes an impromptu cultural exchange. The trendy cafés of Nyamirambo neighborhood serve locally-grown coffee that would make Seattle jealous. Mount Kigali rewards hikers with panoramic views that explain why this is called 'Land of a Thousand Hills.' For a taste of local pride, catch a football match at Stade Amahoro, where the crowd's enthusiasm proves infectious. The gleaming Kigali Convention Centre stands as a symbol of the city's forward momentum – much like Kigali itself.
"I stayed here for two weeks. The location is close to the downtown area and very accessible by taxis and bikes alike. It is quite secure sitting right in front of the parliament building. The rooftop pool is a nice touch with gorgeous views over the city. The gym is quite adequate and the in-hotel restaurant had great variety as well as courteous staff. I was impressed with the fact that my room had a dishwasher, a full fridge, a full oven, and a washing machine. I’ve never had these at a hotel before and the rooms were well cleaned every day by staff. The hotel is quiet which is good for resting, and the reception staff went above and beyond to meet my needs. Kevin Kirezi at the front desk helped me order food, helped me secure transportation, and relocated my room when he detected an unpleasant odor. I’m impressed with his assertiveness, responsiveness and attentiveness to the guests at the property. Professionalism and customer service like this is worth commendation and reward/ promotion. While the rest of the staff were very accommodating and helpful, Kevin stood out. The hotel is best suited for business travelers, couples and single travelers. Given the lack of carpeting, sound echoes easily and it would not be ideal for families with babies and young children. Still, the property is kept in great condition and the needing of room keys to access floors in the elevator helps to enhance security. Several groceries and restaurants are nearby and all in all, a great hotel!"
"Beautiful property. Welcoming and kind staff, many amenities. Location is great. Rooms were excellent. Breakfast each day offered something for everyone. So many options to choose from. Jude at front desk was so helpful. Frank and Jean Pierre at the main bar went above and beyond! Cecile and the rest of the staff in the Executive Lounge were an amazing. Cecile, especially, made it a point to welcome us and offer suggestions for sites to visit. She made sure we felt at home! Vianney was also extremely helpful and accommodating, while we waited to depart for the airport. Thank you for a beautiful end to an amazing vacation!"
"Friendly staff. Very helpful. Massage by Liberathe and Gloria beautiful. No complaints. My room awesome. Food perfect. I will back Grand Legacy Fam!!!"
