This was a fun place to stay while visiting the battle field. The village was very interesting with many small shops.
The room appeared to be recently renovated and staying above a pub was a fun experience. The pub itself was also excellent.
Our only complaint was lack of air conditioning...which resulted in us opening a window...and listening to traffic (the road out front is very busy)
All-in-all, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area
Everything was super. Only thing was a bad smell as you go up the stairs. I was on top floor and stairwells got worse as you went up but not in rooms. It is very old!
We were in Eastbourne visiting friends and to attend a wedding at Battle Abbey. Picked the Albert & Victoria Guest House because of all the Great Reviews and it lived up the 5 Star-Rating!! The owner Keith goes to no-ends to make your stay pleasant. He is the perfect host to say the least!! The folks he has working for him were delightful. If your plans take you to Eastbourne then a stay at the Albert & Victoria will surely make you stay Very Pleasant!!!!
Booked 2 nights for my parents to stay at Christmas. The room was very comfortable and quiet, very clean and the facilities in the room were good nice shower, tea/ coffee maker and TV) plus WiFi. They said the breakfast was superb. Only downside is that there is no public area other than the bar / restaurant and an outdoor seating area
