"The setting in such a quiet rural location but only minutes from Wadebridge and the cottage suited us perfectly for our purpose for being in the area.
We had some queries about the property before arrival and found Sykes support lacking but the house keeper for the cottage was really helpful and was able to help us on 2 occasions with instant replies. What a difference a real person makes!

"We've come out for my 30th had a meal in the restaurant. The staff were lovely the food delicious and they even sang to me for my birthday ! Our check in was fab they were very laid back as we were worried about timings because we had a gin tasting event we were going to first. The staff put us as ease when we spoke to them. We did get confused where to park so parked up the road instead of the car park as our satnav took us to the wrong side of the building. How ever the car is fine parked...

"A great place to stay with a great atmosphere. The staff were friendly polite and eager to help.
The Breakfast was excellent quality and the service
was perfect. I would love to go back there and spend more time as it was a pleasure to be in the company of such nice people. "

"Lantern Cottage was exactly as described. It was very clean and comfortable. The layout and facilities had been very well thought out.
The shared courtyard was lovely to sit out in the sun. We were able to store our bikes there too, which we rode on the nearby Camel trail.
It was peaceful even though we were almost in the centre of Padstow. There were numerous bars and restaurants nearby all serving delicious food. There is also a Spar shop 1minute walk away handy for last minute supplies....

The only snag was the too-heavy duvet; we boiled on the first night! The second night we took the cover off it & slept under that. Good breakfast but we would have preferred to be able to eat at 8.30 instead of 9am."

"What an amazing find. Definately be back. Rooms are lovely. Food was amazing. Lots to choose from in the bar. I really enjoyed my stay here. I travel a lot with my job, so when you find a place like this, its makes a huge difference, especially vs those who simply play at it. This place really cares about its customers."

"The only slight disappointment was the waiting time at the table for our meals which is why I only scored four stars on service.
However, everything else was superb. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.
The rooms were clean and well kept.
The staff were extremely pleasant and courteous and we would not hesitate to stay again in the future."

"This was our second stay at the Coach House and John is an excellent host. The property was immaculate and the lovely scones, jam and cream on arrival were a lovely touch. We would highly recommend staying here, it has all the amenities you need for a home-from-home stay and we will certainly be booking again! "
