We chose the Bedruthan for a long weekend get together with our large family. It turned out to be a very enjoyable stay. The kids took surfing lessons and loved the waves. Mum had a massage and facial at the spa. The staff were genuinely friendly and went to great lengths to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Great location for our trip. Room was clean and had all amenities that we needed. Breakfast was excellent - hot and cold options readily available, served in a timely manner. Hosts were very friendly and attentive.
Amazing hotel, quality of the room was exceptional, we ate in the Chapel restaurant and found the food to be lovely. Would definitely recommend this gem of a hotel. Sadly we saw no ghosts.
Well kept hotel with charm and style. Elegant feel and good quality accommodations. Small rooms - but all English hotel rooms seem a little tight to this American. The staff was very very friendly and gave us great suggestions for dining out. Padstow is a gem - please don't tell anyone - I'd like to keep it a secret!
A beautiful property. Just a short walk from town. Excellent restaurant. We enjoyed breakfast with our room and did stay for dinner 2 nights as the food was fabulous. Service was perfect - attentive and friendly. Thank you Alverton. Next time in Truro, we will make the Alverton our base.
The location of this property is unbeatable. Close to the ocean and an easy walk to downtown. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I liked the parking which had a cost but was very convenient. They need to do a bit of work on the place. There was some areas in the room that needed painting and plaster work. The shower and bathroom was excellent. Breakfast was very good.
This hotel is in a great location near the beach and only a 10 - 15 minute walk from town. There are coastal walks nearby along with restaurants to visit and watch the sun set over the ocean.
The head receptionist gave us a wonderful welcome and was very informative about the hotels facilities and the immediate area.
The room was a tad hot due to unseasonably warm weather and no air conditioning, but otherwise very comfortable and clean. We would definitely stay here again.
What a fantastic hotel. I have walked past this hotel on holidays to Cornwall most of my life but this was the first time I actually stayed in a hotel in the local area. I am pleased I picked the Carlyon Bay Hotel.
Not only does the hotel seem to beam old world charm, it is the epitome of a classy environment with staff that will do anything to make your stay more comfortable and are a pleasure to deal with.
