"The Oktogon is a beautiful and unique hotel in a great locations. A metro stop is just steps from the entrance and will take you almost to the riverfront in just 4 stops.. Lots of restaurants as well as the Ope ra House and St. Stephens Church are only about a 10 minute walk. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet has lots of great options."

"Room was clean and very vintage like, simple but had what I needed. Just wish they had bottled water to drink or to use for tea/coffee facilities. Prime location - for all attractions on the Buda side, and easy access & paths to get to the (Pest) side for all other sights. Happy with the amenities and staff service. All good, only real feedback is - Maybe get Tv's in the room and some soft drinks in the room fridge for guests (for those who don't drink alcohol). Overall good stay for...

"After exploring the energetic Pest side of the river, we moved to this monestary turned hotel in a quiet but convenient part of Buda for a more romantic adventure (it actually has a room 007!). It is located half way between the Chain Bridge and Margaret Island, and directly below the views beautiful at Fisherman's Bastion. Vampire tours nearby. A great breakfast and thoughtful staff. Just remember to do your souvenir shopping before you cross the river to this side."

"The room and hotel was spotlessly clean. A very good breakfast with quite a lot of choice. Our flight was early on the last day so we would have missed breakfast. The dining room staff said we could take a packed lunch and we collected it at 0630 in the morning. That is a great thing to have. Thank you. The staff were really helpful too."

"Great choice! The location is a fun area to walk around with tourist (St. Matthias church), grocery, and restaurant options (21 is super!). It's a climb up some stairs from the river if you walk but not tragic. Staff was very helpful!"
