Protur Roquetas Hotel & Spa

"The staff we could not fault, very helpful and always a smile. Our room was dated and it seems the hotel doesn’t have any rooms with walk in showers and as we our in our late 70’s we do struggle having to step into a bath to shower. The worse thing about the hotel is its coffee. What they provide in the restaurant was un drinkable. The food was ok but hot plates to keep food are needed and a cool fridge is needed for cool food. A fan really isn’t the correct thing to use. Hence unless you managed to time it right as the hot food was put out very often it was luke warm. The pool bar was a little better but gave up after day 1 on the coffee. There are plenty of sun beds around pools and garden areas. Over all we did enjoy our stay but improvements need in restaurants and bedrooms. Also when I returned home I found that one of my purses was missing from my case, fortunately there was only25€ in it !! Hotel is in a great location on the beach with a lovely promenade. There are shops and bars close by as well."

"These are my opinions only - The hotel states it is pet friendly. However you have to leave your pet in the bedroom if you wish to eat, even on the outdoor terraces. An absurd rule ! Be careful about parking, we were not able to book the secure car park due to a convention and the surrounding area is not the best for leaving your car, it potentially is also a good walk back to the hotel. The evening we stayed you could not get food inside the hotel due to the convention. Staff were very good. Hotel is dated and tired but it is very clean. I would not recommend for pet owners"

"A pet friendly hotel with most kind and helpful staff. When we requested to stay an extra couple of days they struggled with the computer but said - just stay , we will sort the computer out before you go . A great relief ! Will be staying there at Christmas too . By the way - perfect location."
