Winíka Alterra is a small, family owned hotel and resort. The property consists of eleven private cabins. They’re very well maintained and with all the amenities. The staff is very helpful, accommodating, and detailed oriented. All the meals were delicious, fresh, and locally sourced-made from ingredients found at the hotel’s on site farm. (They even make their own chocolate which is used in the duck mole, desserts, or served hot). The beds and bedding are very comfortable, The quiet, jungle...

This was a "work" trip to visit the coffee farm and get information on importing green coffee. The cottages were very clean and equiped with everything you could need for your stay. The staff didn't speak any English which was a little bit of a barrier since we didn't speak Spanish, but with the help of google translate it worked. We had a tour of the farm from one of the owners who was very kind and informative. The food was good and staff was attentive. The spa was beautiful and relaxing, we...

The hotel rooms were okay, but the cleanliness of the bathroom were not good, we had breakfast both days, i observed the containers and other things not really clean, the pron that the lady who was serving was really dirty.
The swimming pools were super small, in the picture doesn’t look like the real one.probably dirty to.
It was good but not excellent

El hotel es excelente, limpio, bonito, el personal igual muy bien. El único problema es la ubicación para ir al centro, a la zona arqueológica o al lugar que quieras hay que tomar taxi y no ban de 300 pesos

Our third stay at this hotel in 8 months.
The staff is accommodating, the hotel is clean.
The value is excellent, especially when you consider it is the only hotel offering a pool and free breakfast.
I can’t speak Spanish but we always find a way to communicate and understand.

We usually live this hotel, this time there weren’t enough towels in the from and the bottle of water had been opened. We didn’t notice until we had used the water.

The staff were great. Our room was big and the beds were comfortable. The pool was smaller and the gym has no ac. Treadmills do not work. But overall enjoyed our time there.

To be sincere with review, we need to notice that is not a city hotel, is branded as an ecofriendly hotel at jungle. For that this is a great hotel. At pool you are surrounded by Big mango trees, were you can watch guacamayas, parakeets, monkeys, hummingbirs, squirrels.
Gardens are clean until some mango fall or squirrel eats some nuts.
Rooms have good views, cold air for hot & humid weather, Restaurant have small options but good flavor and clean installations.

The hotel is located in a clean and quiet part of Palenque. The main bus station is an easy 2 blocks away. To get to the ruins, Taxis are at the door and even cheaper "collectivos" are about 3 blocks away. A good choice of restaurants is a few minutes stroll from the hotel.
The hotel itself is very clean and has a friendly, helpful staff. The hotel's restaurant serves good meals and the service is fine. There is a pool and lounging area in the center of the hotel.

Truly an experience I will
Never forget. The ruins in Palenque were something that I will never forget. The hotel is quiet, nice, has a pool and they were very accommodating and helpful. Great dining options within walking distance. I will be staying here again if I go back to Palenque.
