If you're planning a bit of sightseeing head to McElhone Stairs— just one of the monuments in Potts Point. Hotels.com travelers also say the area is artsy and has lots of nice beaches. Sydney has lots of other important landmarks you might want to see such as Sydney Harbour Bridge.
This was a great place for a nice night of rest. Check in was quick. Breakfast is included and was a good amount. Room was clean and spacious. Laundry is also available
Good hotel. In the middle of city and close to Red District, yet in a quiet location. That is an amazing feature. Everything is fantastic about it, except that the rooms are not totally noise proof. You can overhear loud noises or voices.
Charming hotel, about 6 blocks from botanical park makes for a beautiful (and not long) stroll to the opera. the queen room was smaller than expected, go for the king.
Only problem could be the carpeted rooms. It gave me allergy, so if you are prone to allergies the hotel is not recommended.
The best part about this hotel is its central location. Kings Cross might not be the BEST area in Sydney, but the fact that you're 1-2 train stops from anywhere is perfect for any tourists. I think the hotel is great for people looking to spend as little time as possible in their room. The single room I had was quite small, but had all the amenities I needed (besides a microwave). The bed takes up most of the room, with a small 3/4 bathroom, a desk, and a cabinet with ironing board, storage, and...
I was blown away with how comfortable a pub stay is! I have stayed all over the world and this thus far is the best room in how big it is, clean and has all you need for a hotel stay at a budget price!
This was our base for a two and a half day visit to Sydney. We flew in and jumped on the rail to Circular Quay and walked two blocks to hotel. We were early, but they had a room for us. We had heard in some reviews that it was noisy. I would suspect that the others had a room looking onto George St where two pubs exist on the first floor in the same building. We were given an inside room that shared a semi-private courtyard with one other room. We had no problems with noise. The room was well...
Mariners Court, remember this place! The room was fine, pleasant bed, tv, hot water as needed, all good.
And the room had a little balcony! All the rooms had balconies; sit outside a minute in the pleasant breeze! And down the hall a lounge area! Relax, you’ve been touring and traveling, so sit! Take a load off.
But…
But……..!
Breakfast!!! And a GOOD Breakfast! Provided gratis.
We stayed at three different places in Sydney in April & May. The other two were each more expensive, and then you go...
We’ve been traveling around the world for a few years now and while we don’t go for the super luxurious ones, this one is a jewel. It’s probably among the most comfortable hotel we’ve stayed at for the value. The staff went above and beyond any hotel staff I’ve ever seen. I’d definitely book here again when I return to Sydney! Location is fantastic too! You guys rock!
Very friendly staff and great location, close to everything, but still residential and relaxing. We were here in the fall, and I'd recommend fall or spring. The rooms do not have climate control. Windows, fans, and space heaters are all available, but I'd not recommend the hotel if climate control is essential to you.
