10/10 Excellent
"This is one of the best hotels we have experienced globally. Despite being a family-run business, the level of professionalism and attention to detail rivals major international luxury chains.
Room & Comfort
The ground-floor comfort rooms are modern, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed with ample storage space. The bed offers exceptional sleep quality, and the shower provides a high-pressure, hot sanctuary—perfect after trekking. High-quality toiletries, soft towels, and a powerful hair dryer are standout features. Note: Adding more towel hooks would be a beneficial minor upgrade.
Service & Logistics
* Flawless Coordination: Check-in was perfectly managed, and English proficiency is excellent across the staff.
* Travel Support: For early tour departures, they provide high-quality breakfast bags. Their luggage storage is secure; suitcases were even moved to our room automatically upon our return from Machu Picchu.
* Amenities: The on-site breakfast (fresh mango juice, brioche, and custom eggs) and efficient laundry service add significant value.
Atmosphere & Location
Located in a quiet, safe area just five minutes from the center, the hotel feels personal and welcoming, decorated with fresh flowers. It is a stress-free environment that genuinely makes you want to stay longer.
Verdict
A perfect, high-standard base managed by hardworking, kind people. Ideal for travelers seeking refined care and reliability.

"Friendly hotel staff members, services top notch. I will stay again at Sonesta when I travel back to Cusco. Staff spoke excellent English which allowed to communicate with ease. "
"Loved this hotel. Great location, great breakfast and nice location. They only thing they didn't have was bottled water but there were markets right down the street where you could buy it (so not a huge deal). I would definitely stay here again."
"We had room 209. I believe the reason this room smelled so bad was because the bathroom had a jacuzzi tub that did not fit the space and could not be cleaned properly. Stagnant water and mold was collecting in unseen areas. Also, loud. The breakfast was stale. The entry was very nicely done making the hotel seem like it was much nicer that it really was. "
