"The room is a little bit small than I thought. I booked a twin room and expect there are 2 bed separate. However the room is too small so it is only 2 separate mattresses puting together.
Besides that, everything is fine. I super love it's rooftop view! Super beautiful for watching Tokyo Skytree (and should be excellent for watching Sumidagawa Fireworks Festival)"

"This was our second stay at the Grand Nikko and we were as impressed the 2nd time as we were the first. It's a beautiful property with excellent location. The train station was an easy walk (perhaps 50 yards or so), which made travel into Tokyo very easy. Should we travel to Tokyo again we will not hesitate to stay there again."

The hotel itself is very old, needs some refurbishment, but they still keep it very clean. I like our beds were being made every day, we felt very comfortable and relaxed when we returned to our room to see the clean beds after long walks.
The place exceeded my expectations. Very clean and spacious. The staff was very polite and professionally. The hotel is near a train station and many places to eat and bar hopping if you are in the mood. We highly recommend this place and the price point wss excellent.
Our stay at Hotel Niwa made our Japan trip exceptional! As American travelers in our early 30s, we found this place to be a gem in Tokyo.
The hotel's ambiance was simply beautiful, and the rooms were surprisingly spacious for a city known for compact spaces. Its prime location, just a 5-minute walk from a JR line, made navigating Tokyo incredibly convenient. I loved this little gem of a hotel. The staff is lovely and the hotel is affordable and really clean. The walls are also super thick so you don’t hear the baseball games that might happen across the street. I also loved the location. The street is quiet but metro close and so many places walkable. Compact as you’d expect in Tokyo area but jam packed with all the essentials. Location is great being steps away from the subway station and a 10 min walk from Shinagawa Station.(direct Narita Express train from the international airport) There is also a convenience store right around the corner as well as a grocery store near by. They offer a breakfast buffet for a fee as well.

The hotel room was huuuuge compared to other hotels- we even had a little balcony! The washing machine in the unit helped SO much. It was a bit difficult to get from the station to the hotel with large bags because there isn’t an exit with an escalator/elevator that we could find but it’s completely doable. The staff let us wait in a private lounge with water and vending machines until it was time for check in which was amazing!
I always stay at Sotetsu Fresa Takadanobaba whenever I'm in Tokyo, and for good reason. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk from Takadanobaba Station, which connects to the JR Yamanote, Seibu Shinjuku, and Tozai Lines.
