The staff greeted us with a detailed overview of things to see and do in Pelorinho and a coupon for two free drinks at the rooftop bar. We went up there right away. Spectacular view over the harbor. We are two U.S. citizens with a second home across the bay from Salvador. We have been observing, from the outside, progress that has been made in the refurbishment of this Art Deco hotel, so conveniently located in the historical heart of the city. Though the hotel is not entirely finished, it is already open to the public. We stayed there this last week and were very impressed by the great taste of the development team that has transformed this historic hotel to the 21st century. ...
Staff was friendly and attentive. Security even waited outside with me for the Uber, which was cheap and made staying at the hotel even more attractive because of the great rate I got.
I had an amazing stay here. The staff is amazing! The property is beautiful. The rooms are good, nothing too fancy. The breakfast was excellent, with so much variety. It's in a nice area; there's a bus stop and lots of shops nearby. The only issue I had was with ubers canceling all the time because the hotel is on a one-way street making it more difficult to get to. Also, I wanted to do laundry thinking there would be a self service laundry room, but it's actually a service they offer for crazy...
We very much enjoyed our stay! There were a few issues but overall, well worth the value. The staff, especially those who spoke English were very kind and helpful. If lounging by the pool is important to you, please know that the chairs by the pool are dated and in uncomfortable condition. Other than that, a remarkable stay for the cost. The location of the property allowed us easy access to various shopping, food and tourist sites.
We just returned from a ten day stay at the Monte Pascoal. We had a full ocean view with a lovely balcony. We slept very well with the great air conditioning in a room that was basic but clean and comfortable. Always hot water and good water pressure. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and tasty. Staff couldn't have been nicer. We took advantage of the World Cup amenities and several nearby bars and restaurants. Price was definitely high, because of the World Cup but overall we were very happy. ...
