Riad Mayfez is a lovely boutique property in the Fez Medina. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. The spa was amazing and our cooking lesson was so much fun. Definitely our highlight stay in Morocco.

4/10 Aceptable

The hotel itself is beautiful, perfectly located in the heart of the old medina, and offers genuinely lovely rooms. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell well short of what we expected from a five-star property, particularly given the price we paid. The amenities, breakfast, and level of service simply did not live up to the hotel’s rating. Our room was beautiful, but some basic practical details had clearly been overlooked. As shown in my photo of the bathroom sink, there were bars of soap but nowhere to place them after use, leaving the sink area messy and unpleasant. There were also no conveniently located electrical outlets for a hair dryer or electric shaver. Instead, we had to unplug the television and use the outlet near it in the sitting area, fortunately with a decorative mirror above the TV. These may seem like minor details, but they matter when a property charges five-star prices. The room also featured a lovely coffee station, but we were surprised to discover that coffee was complimentary only on the first day. We received three coffee capsules as part of the welcome amenities, but any replenishment for the remainder of our stay came at an additional charge. This policy was never explained at check-in, creating unnecessary confusion over something that should have been straightforward. What disappointed us most was not necessarily the policy itself, but how the situation was handled. Rather than showing some flexibility or goodwill toward guests staying

A hotel gem

We had a poor check in experience due to some Communication issues but once in our room the hotel was wonderful. The service and staff were fabulous and the food superior. Enjoying the Road was the best part of our trip.

Beautiful property with spacious rooms, like an oasis inside the bustling Medina of Fes. Service was impeccable and they made incredible effort to make our stay more comfortable throughout our time. Breakfast was amazing and the complimentary treats were to die for. You will not find a better hotel in Fes, and you may not find a better one in Morocco.

LUXURY STAY

This was an INCREDIBLE stay. The staff are so friendly, accommodating and helpful. The grounds are absolutely stunning. This was the best road I have ever stayed in. We are sad we only had three nights, we did not want to leave. For luxurious, private and and unforgettable stay, be sure to book here. This was a visit beyond expectations. Houda, and Mohammed and Mohammed made our trip the very best it could be!
