We normally love staying at the Radium Chalet, but couldn’t believe how run down it was this last time. It’s never fancy but certainly never this bad. Our room was so hot and even though we turned off both thermostats (one was loosely hanging on the wall) it was so uncomfortable we couldn’t sleep. One slept in the family room for our couples retreat. We tried to find help to see if it could be resolved but no one was ever at the front desk. The ceiling fan didn’t fit in the bthrm and was hanging off, the rocks on the fireplace were half fallen off, the outlet in the bedroom was only accessible by pulling out the drawer and leaving it on the floor. The vanity veneer was peeling off, the rolling blinds were duct taped up and ratty, and the walls and trim were chipped up and damaged. It would take so little money and a couple days of effort to get this place up to par but it seems they don’t care to ensure it’s a comfy stay for guests. I hope they fix it as we would like to return if these things are addressed. The views, room set up and pet friendliness are all great! But we need to be able to sleep!
