Perfect room, but...
The hotel room and the view were great and exactly what we needed to make our early international flight the next morning easier.
However it was marred by a poor arrival experience and a confusing checkout experience.
Arrival:
We followed the instructions for the complimentary airport shuttle - standing right underneath the (only) sign for 'hotels and off-airport' shuttles. We were told the driver would arrive in 15-20 minutes. 40 minutes later we called the hotel again to check on progress and were told the driver had been and gone and asked us if we were waiting in the right place. It was another 20 minutes later that a van pulled up to a different waiting area (NOT between T2 & T1 as instructed) and it was lucky I walked down to check. The van had definitely not been past us earlier and nobody acknowledged our hour long wait in the rain. It wasn't just us either, there were two others also waiting.
We knew that we needed to book a return shuttle for the morning, which required talking to the staff on the desk but we were made to queue for the self service kiosk and check in first, then queue again at the desk to book the shuttle.
Checkout:
On checkout the kiosk told us that a refund was owed so we needed to go to the desk. The staff member could not see the refund in the system, assumed it was the security deposit & assured us that it would automatically refund. It hasn't been refunded yet, but it's only been 36 hours. We'll keep an eye on it.
